About Us

If I’m going to be honest, I kind of fell into this.

I have dry skin, as does my family and as we tried every conceivable type of face bar, moisturizing body bar, body wash to no avail, I dug deeper. I was stunned to find out these products can’t even be called soap because they’re closer to detergent then soap! Soap is made from natural ingredients, such as plant oils (coconut, olive, sweet almond). Detergent is created by combining chemical compounds in a mixer. These compounds are meant to preserve the soap so they last longer, the bars are harder or the scent stays longer, all of which serve the company not the consumer. Maybe this was why nothing was helping?

I started making my own soap, using only the highest quality plant oils and butters, organic wherever possible, essential oils avoiding fragrances and natural exfoliants like poppy seeds and loofah powder instead of micro beads. I tested and tested, and as friends and family kept asking for more, it seemed like we might be onto something.

All our colours come from nature, specifically clays or plants not artificial or synthetic colourants. It’s important to us that our soaps are also cruelty-free and sustainable, so we ensure our oils are sustainably harvested, our packaging is made from post-consumer recycled paper and shipping bundles are optimized to minimize paper and packaging. We work to ensure our hand-poured, small batch soaps are as good for you and your skin as they are for the environment.

We hope you love them as much as we do!
